Another Fair Year is Over
Well, the fair is over for another year. The steer is gone and I just hate to think about where he is going. We had him for almost a year, and he was just like a big puppy dog. The kids did a good job of showing their animals, and they learn so much about responsibility in taking care of them. Lindsey made the premium sale and Ace purchased the steer. Lindsey says, "Thanks, Dad!"

Fair Days
Lindsey showed her goat today. I just want all of you to know that goat did a fine job being led around the ring! The only problem is he got 4th in his class. (too much fat) Todd needed to work with him on the four wheeler a little more! Lindsey shows the steer tomorrow. Wish us luck!

Easter Pics
Grandma and the great-grandkids present posed for a picture. Grandma will be 80 in May. Doesn't she look great?
Saturday we spent the day in Kirbyville with my family. Mama wanted pictures taken in which no one really cared to have a their picture taken. I tried to make light of the situation and have a little fun with Lee!

Another day of country living!
Lindsey had to get up early to take her goat to get trimmed. Since Meagan was with Lindsey, she had to get in on the act too. I can think of alot of things these girls would much rather be doing! Have fun girls, I am headed to College Station shopping!

Productive Day
This is what my garage looked like this morning at 9:00 am. I looked at it as my empty canvas.
By 3:00 pm I was finished with the color wash technique. I plan to go back and add faux stone or brick in places on the wall later. I will rest a few days before I try to tackle that! On to the flower beds!

Stubborn as a ........Goat!
Okay, Todd is not being cruel to animals. Lindsey shows this goat in a couple of weeks and it will not lead and it is getting too fat and needs exercise. So, Todd devises a plan. He ties the goat to the four wheeler and takes it to the corner of the pasture.
Please don't make me do this again!
Once Todd unties the goat, it runs all the way back to its pen!
After 4 or 5 times, the goat is breathing pretty hard, so they call it a day. Cheap entertainment when you live in the country and you are in your forties!

Class Picture
Our class pictures came in today. I have gained 2 new students since then, and now I am up to 20. Aren't they a good looking bunch?
Mmmm Peanut Butter!
No snow pics, but Lindsey and Raynie came over with their ag class and presented a lesson on peanuts. We had been learning about products of Texas and the girls told us that peanuts are big business in Texas. Lindsey could be on the Magic Bullet infomercial! Everytime that program would come on, she would ask for it! The kids tried peanut butter with and without salt. Alexis thought it was pretty good. By the way, salted peanut butter was the winner.

It's snowing today and the flakes were huge! It has been snowing for a few hours now, so there may be more accumulation later. I want to take my students out and take more pictures. Stay tuned!

Working Hard, Ha Ha!
Okay, I don't have any pics of the family, but I wanted everyone to see my look when I am reading blogs before school, at lunch, and at conference! (notice the bold print ) Angela suggested that I post a picture of what I look like at the end of the school day. I promise, it won't be pretty.
